Welcome to Fordje
Building lightweight AI tools with municipalities to solve city code complexity
City code complexity is increasing every year. New technologies and the push toward electrification compounds these problems.
Fordje builds tools that work with existing municipal software to bubble up problems before they occur, reducing citizen confusion regarding required codes and speeding up electrification projects.
We're developing a prototype and need your input!
How it works
Upload Your Codes, no extra software required
Municipalities can simply claim their city and upload their codes via a user-friendly portal. We’ll take care of the rest.
Use and share the query-able user interface
We parse and build an easy-to-use UI so planners, citizens and designers can quickly see and search through codes.
AI provides condensed and clear answers
Reduce citizen confusion regarding municipal code requirements, with clear answers outlined through AI.
Municipalities
Fordje works with municipalities by building software to solve their code problems.
- Powerful AI Query to easily find and compare codes across different internal departments
- Attractive, easy-to-query interface to the public, reducing citizen confusion
- Bubble up potential code conflicts BEFORE you enact new regulations - Coming Soon!
- Works with existing software - no new integrations required
Citizens
Citizens can access and query municipal codes with ease, quickly understanding code requirements.
- City specific user interfaces can be easily linked anywhere and shared with the public
- AI provides clear guidelines to questions answered, summarizing and pointing to relevant codes
- Citizens’ questions are answered quickly, reducing calls and inquiries to municipal offices
Climate Tech Developers
Construction projects require managing a lot of moving parts. Permitting, inspections and other requirements can double the time it takes to get things done, dramatically increasing costs.
Fordje allows fast surfacing of up-to-date code requirements, eliminating confusion and delays. Climate Tech developers can focus on getting their projects off the ground, not on rejections and follow up phone calls.
Meet the Team
Gillian Wildfire, CEO
Gillian has been finding the right problems to solve across multiple industries - including climate tech (Palmetto), software (New Relic), CPG (Keurig), governments (City of Burlington VT) and non-profits (The Nature Conservancy) - for 18 years.
Most recently she led Product for Palmetto Clean Technology's SaaS product platform, scaling the Product team while decreasing solar project timelines by 20%.
She holds a MBA and a M.S. in Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University, and a bachelors from Boston University.
Jon Gamble, CTO
Born with the heart of a builder, Jon Gamble is always creating or tinkering with something new.
From building his first PC from a box of parts brought home by his dad from work, to teaching himself HTML and PHP, then compounding that into a now 14-year career as a software engineer and leader - Jon is enamored with building the right systems, efficiencies, and teams to tackle interesting problems.
A lifelong sportsman and Eagle Scout, Jon is able to combine his passion for technology with his love for the outdoors and its preservation.
Richie Rasor, CSO
A majority of Richie’s professional career has been focused on honing his skills within the sustainable energy realm.
From team building and quality improvement strategies (SolarCity; Tesla), to process architecture and lifecycle analysis (Tesla; Palmetto), he has come across many of the hurdles and challenges that face the energy and construction sectors.
His expertise, alongside his eagerness to tackle some of the largest societal problems, position him well to provide valuable insight and direction within Fordje.
